Introduction and scope
ACRY EDUTECH ("we", "us") is the data fiduciary for personal data processed through acryedutech.com, our learner dashboard, assessments, community channels and career services (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights available to you.
It is published in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and reflects GDPR principles for learners in the EEA/UK.
Personal data we collect
- Identity & contact: name, email address, phone number, city, profession, experience level, and profile photo where provided.
- Account & authentication: credentials handled by our authentication provider, sign-in method (email or Google), device and session identifiers.
- Assessment & learning data: quiz responses, interests, match scores, enrolled programs, progress, project submissions and certificates.
- Transaction data: order IDs, invoice details, amount, status and gateway reference. We never store full card numbers, CVV or UPI PINs.
- Career-service data: resume, portfolio links, interview feedback and placement preferences, shared voluntarily by you.
- Technical & usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referrer and interaction events collected via cookies and analytics.
- Communications: support tickets, counselling call notes, WhatsApp/email correspondence and recordings of live sessions you attend.
Why we process your data (purpose and lawful basis)
- Contract performance: creating your account, delivering programs, generating roadmaps, issuing certificates, processing payments and refunds.
- Legitimate interests: improving curriculum quality, preventing fraud and piracy, securing the Platform and measuring learning outcomes.
- Consent: marketing emails, WhatsApp updates, testimonials, and sharing your profile with hiring partners under career services. Consent is withdrawable at any time.
- Legal obligation: tax, accounting, statutory record-keeping and responses to lawful requests.
Automated processing and AI
Your assessment answers are processed algorithmically to produce career matches and roadmaps. These outputs are advisory recommendations only and do not produce legal or similarly significant effects. You may request human review of any recommendation. We do not use your personal data to train third-party foundation models.
Security measures
We apply reasonable security practices including encryption in transit (TLS), row-level access controls on our database, least-privilege administrative access, audit logging and periodic review of third-party processors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you are responsible for protecting your credentials.
In the event of a personal-data breach likely to cause harm, we will notify affected users and the competent authority without undue delay.
Data retention
- Account and learning records: while your account is active, plus 24 months.
- Transaction and invoice records: 8 years, as required by tax and accounting law.
- Support and grievance records: 3 years from closure.
- Marketing consent records: until withdrawal, plus 12 months as proof of consent.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may exercise the following rights:
- access a copy of your personal data and information about its processing;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- erase data no longer required, subject to statutory retention;
- withdraw consent for marketing or partner sharing at any time;
- request portability of your learning records in a machine-readable format;
- nominate an individual to exercise your rights in case of incapacity or death.

Children's data
The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and above. Learners aged 13–17 may enroll only with verifiable parental or guardian consent, and we do not undertake behavioural advertising or tracking of such users. If we learn we have collected a child's data without valid consent, we delete it promptly.
International transfers
Our processors may store or process data on servers outside India. Where this occurs, we rely on contractual safeguards equivalent to those required under applicable law and transfer only to jurisdictions not restricted by the Government of India.
